Anatomy of a PSYOP: How Kash Patel and John Solomon Led Trump into Another Fake Controversy—Déjà Vu
The fake story about fake ID's from China is part of a sharp acceleration in deep state MindWar against MAGA.
The Flynn network is once again hair ablaze, claiming their discredited narratives about the 2020 election are now validated by a supposed bombshell document promoted by FBI Director, Kash Patel. Last night, President Trump amplified the story. Now that the document has surfaced, it turns out to be yet another misleading nothingburger.
Disclaimer: I am a Republican who believes mail-in ballot fraud occurred in 2020 and may have influenced the election's outcome. I also believe Michael Flynn and certain Intelligence Community (IC) operatives have intentionally spread disinformation to sabotage credible election integrity research.
Flynn effectively derailed the genuine election integrity movement before it even started. This current episode illustrates precisely how his network operates.
On Monday evening, Kash Patel and John Solomon released what they labeled a "bombshell," alleging a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) plot to produce and distribute fake mail-in ballots. Patel’s official X account aggressively promoted this supposed FBI revelation.
Flynn-linked influencers immediately seized this opportunity to amplify sensational claims:
Ann Vandersteel declared the FBI confirmed CCP interference in the election.
Breanna Morello proclaimed this proved Joe Biden an "illegitimate president," explicitly linking this FBI document to election fraud.
"Real Robert" dramatically asserted the document vindicated The Gateway Pundit's long-debunked claims about truckloads of Chinese-produced counterfeit ballots.
"Cann Con" added conspiratorial spin, directly tying the story to previously discredited allegations of millions of CCP-printed counterfeit ballots.
They all shared a screenshot of the headline, but no link to the story, which indicated the allegations were about fake U.S. driver’s licenses - not fake ballots.
The real story was far less explosive that what has been shoved down our throats over the last 36 hours. The FBI document cites an anonymous, third-hand claim about the CCP potentially producing fake driver's licenses—not ballots. Crucially, the FBI found no credible evidence linking these alleged activities to actual voter fraud incidents. The source was anonymous, relaying third-hand claims to another anonymous individual, making it impossible to verify or corroborate.
The uncorroborated claim stated that the CCP allegedly leveraged TikTok data (names, addresses, and IDs) from U.S. users to create tens of thousands of fake U.S. driver's licenses intended to fraudulently obtain legitimate ballots for Biden. However, TikTok does not even collect addresses or ID numbers from users, fundamentally undermining the allegation. Consequently, the FBI dropped this line of inquiry in mid-2020.
Fox News did corroborate part of this claim in August 2020, reporting that U.S. Customs had intercepted approximately 20,000 counterfeit driver's licenses. Arguably, this warranted further FBI investigation, but notably, no evidence has emerged to connect this confiscation to voter fraud.
Nevertheless, John Solomon's publication, Just The News, produced a barrage of misleading headlines this week, suggesting the FBI had proven that the CCP committed election fraud, produced "fake ballots," and that the FBI deliberately ignored evidence. These assertions lack factual support.
This pattern of Solomon overstating findings to stoke sensationalism mirrors his past coverage of Russiagate, which raised misleading and unrealistic expectations among MAGA supporters regarding the Durham investigation.
Predictably, Flynn’s influencer network ignited, and even Trump shared a link to a story on Truth Social.
Déjà Vu: MindWar Intensifies
We’ve witnessed this cycle before. Shortly after the 2020 election, Trump promoted now a thoroughly debunked story by Chanel Rion and OANN alleging Dominion Voting Systems deleted millions of votes. This narrative also originated from Flynn-connected circles.
Flynn’s network consistently repeats this tactic: concoct sensationalist claims, coordinate widespread influencer amplification, lure high-profile figures like Trump to promote the claims, and ultimately abandon or quietly sideline these narratives once they collapse under scrutiny. This cycle strategically discredits authentic research into genuine fraud and solutions, ensuring credible evidence is dismissed along with easily refutable fabrications.
These manufactured controversies deliberately sow division and instability. The timing and fervor of this latest operation seem calculated to provoke conflict within MAGA. Conservative X is now dominated by Flynn-associated figures who increasingly promote anti-Trump and anti-Republican rhetoric.
In just the last two days:
Ivan Raiklin openly called for tens of thousands of former military personnel to form militias and enact "retribution" against his deep-state target list, which includes Ben Carson, Jared Kushner, and federal judges.
Steve Bannon ominously declared that if the deep state isn’t dismantled this summer, “we will not have a country."
Trump, delightfully in my opinion, dismissed Tucker Carlson as "kooky" for criticizing his stance on Israel.
Gateway Pundit contributors gleefully amplified a questionable poll claiming half of young Americans oppose Israel, further stoking division.
Ann Vandersteel posted, “Both parties need to be dissolved. They were formed in the 1800s and are now merged. It is We the People vs. The Establishment.”
Alex Jones shared a meme with a picture of Trump labeled “what we voted for” and a picture of Trump with George W. Bush’s face labeled “what we got.”
And Mike Flynn went on Jack Posobiec’s show and said, “The next 72-96 hours are going to be some of the most intense moments in U.S. history that we have ever experienced.”
This orchestrated MindWar from deep state insurgents embedded within MAGA has accelerated sharply. Their goal is to fracture unity by provoking anger and distrust.
Stay vigilant, guard your emotions, and don’t let fear and division prevail.
Also, take note of all these people who have claimed to be MAGA all along but are so quick to turn on President Trump. Lord willing, they will soon look very foolish.
mulling something over. driver's licenses should not be sufficient anyway in order to obtain "legal" voter registration. in CA for example we have a special DL for non-citizens. the FBI would know this. (of course the "motor voter" thing is totally whack anyway and i believe most of the bogus registrations of non-citizens originate there but that's not the point). what i'm getting at is this: non-citizens can already get drivers licenses. there is no need for a foreign govt to engage in an elaborate scheme to assemble information from tiktok in order to create fraudulent Dl's just to gain 20K votes for biden. it's just not adding up.
AGREE SCOTT, We need to push push and push. SUPPORT FOR THE PRESIDENT, AND CALM RATIONAL INDEPENDENT THINKING VS COLLECTIIVISM
