The Only Way - Short of Civil War - to Free Tina Peters
The Flynn network only pretends to care about Tina so you will listen and donate to them.
For years, many on the right have been told a simple story about Tina Peters: that she “did nothing wrong,” that she “saved the election records,” and that she is imprisoned for “exposing fraud.” Donald Trump himself repeated these claims yesterday on Truth Social.
The problem is it’s not true.
And unless we confront those facts honestly, Tina Peters will spend years in prison - possibly the rest of her life. Worse, certain actors in Flynn’s “election integrity” movement are now openly trying to provoke a constitutional crisis—even a civil war—over her case. They are manipulating her life as a tool for their larger objectives.
This column is not written to attack Tina Peters. It is written to rescue her, because the people claiming to defend her are marching her—and many decent Americans—straight into a disaster.
THE FACTS: What Actually Happened in Mesa County
1. The “backup” narrative is false.
The central myth repeated endlessly—“Tina preserved election records”—is factually wrong.
During trial, the Deputy Clerk testified unequivocally that she had already created three redundant backups of the 2020 election data before Conan Hayes ever arrived on the scene. These backups were done pursuant to a statewide directive: the Colorado Secretary of State had instructed every county to back up their systems before the trusted build. It was not a secret plan to delete records. It was routine.
There was nothing for Tina to “rescue.”
There was nothing in danger of being destroyed.
2. What Hayes collected was not a valid forensic image—and might not be genuine.
Even after Hayes obtained his so-called image, there was no chain of custody whatsoever. None. Tina even shut down the county’s surveillance cameras that week, so whatever he did or didn’t do can’t be proven. That means:
No one can prove the image came from the Mesa County machine.
No one can prove Hayes didn’t alter the system prior to imaging.
The product would never be admissible in any court.
Despite that, the image still didn’t show fraud—only vulnerabilities that were publicly acknowledged long before 2021.
So the claim “Tina proved fraud” collapses on both ends: the data was unverified, and it didn’t show fraud anyway.
3. The “she did nothing wrong” narrative is also false.
If Tina believed she was following the law, she would not have:
Turned off county security cameras for the first time ever.
Brought in an outside operative (Hayes) under a fake identity.
Misled the Secretary of State about who was entering the secure room.
She knew exactly why those cameras had to go dark.
Dr. Douglas Frank even said on a recording that he couldn’t be the one to get the image because it would be illegal, and that “he had a guy” who could do it.
That “guy” came from an attorney in Flynn’s inner circle: Kurt Olsen, who brought in Hayes personally. And Olsen would later join her defense team—one of the many glaring conflicts in this entire operation.
THE SETUP: How Tina Was Guided Into a Crime
This is the part most people don’t know, because the same network that walked her into felony conduct also controlled her legal defense, her media narrative, and even her personal worldview.
Between May and August 2021, several Flynn-aligned operatives—Dr. Frank, Sharonna Bishop, Kurt Olsen, and others—were in constant contact with her. They spun a story that only Hayes could get the “real” data. They pressured her. They flattered her. They convinced her she was saving the Republic. They persuaded her that Hayes was some sort of top secret “white hat” government hacker who “took down BackPage” and needed to be protected.
And at the same time, they arranged things so that she—not them—would take the fall.
Consider:
Hayes later filed an unnotarized, unverifiable document with a UPS Store address, which the court properly excluded as unreliable.
Her attorneys spent two years filing pretrial motions, trying to turn her trial into a circus about Dominion, instead of defending her against the actual charges.
They tried to admit thousands of pages leaked illegally in the Dominion v. Byrne case, seemingly to protect Stefanie Lambert, not Tina.
They repeatedly disobeyed court orders, missed deadlines, and filed irrelevant arguments, infuriated the judge, and conditioned him to expect stunts—not legal arguments.
By the time sentencing came, Tina herself—prepped by the same attorneys—argued with the judge, lectured him about what he “really believed,” and showed no contrition whatsoever. Her own defense team walked her straight into a maximum sentence.
Many of these attorneys, like Dan Hartman and Stefanie Lambert, are incompetent. But in my view, her conviction and sentencing were no accident. It was strategic.
THE PSYOP: Why Her Case Is Being Weaponized Now
The goal of Flynn’s narrative framers has never been to free Tina Peters. It has been to use Tina Peters.
We saw this clearly last week on Steve Bannon’s War Room when:
Ivan Raiklin demanded that Trump send U.S. Marshals to forcibly extract Tina Peters from a state prison.
Peter Ticktin, her current appellate attorney, said Trump should send the 82nd Airborne Division to break her out.
Bannon introduced Raiklin by saying, “Ivan Raiklin and General Flynn are working on something about Tina Peters. We gotta raise up the Tina Peters. This is going to take maniacal focus.”
Ticktin and Bannon don’t get to the point until after the 3:00 mark in the following video.
This is from the attorney who is leading her ongoing appeal. This is not legal advocacy.
And it fits a pattern we have now seen for years:
Create a martyr → inflame the mind controlled base → provoke an overreaction → use that reaction to justify federal crackdowns.
The same rhetoric is coming from Joe Oltmann—who is reportedly visiting Tina regularly in prison—telling his audience that “violence is the only solution… it’s gonna take somebody doing something really drastic, or a group of people doing something drastic to let them know that they don’t have any peace.”
Of course Oltmann, who has not concealed his hatred for Trump on numerous X posts, was wearing a Trump hat as he said that.
I reported last year that Oltmann spoke at an event with Mike Lindell right before Tina’s trial and said, “We have to get our guns… The time is coming for good people to do bad things to bad people.”
This is all a clear case of the Flynn network psychologically engineering an outcome: either Trump takes unconstitutional action, or angry citizens commit acts that can be labeled terrorism.
Professing Christians and MAGA supporters are being played.
THE APPEAL: Designed to Fail
Her appeal is not serious. It argues that because Colorado ran a federal election, Tina was functionally a federal agent, and therefore the state had no jurisdiction.
This is absurd.
There is no precedent for a local elected official being treated as a federal officer. The judge knows it. The appellate court knows it. Her attorneys know it.
It is a suicide appeal.
And when it fails, Ivan Raiklin and Oltmann will have well-intentioned but severely deceived Americans doing their bidding while they themselves stay at a safe distance.
THE TRUTH ABOUT HER CURRENT SITUATION
Inside prison, Tina has been surrounded by frequent visitors from the Flynn network. They reinforce the same narratives: she is innocent, she is a hero, the judge is corrupt, Hayes is a white-hat hacker.
She believes them. And because she believes them, she shows no remorse, has been disciplined in prison, and does not appear to be on track for early release due to good behavior.
She is being conditioned—just like the audience—to see herself as a martyr whose story must end in conflict.
THE ONLY WAY TO FREE TINA PETERS WITHOUT CIVIL WAR
There is exactly one legal path to Tina’s freedom:
1. She must fire every member of her current legal team and distance herself from Oltmann and the Flynn network.
Every attorney connected to the Flynn Network must go. All of them. She needs to be protected from her handlers.
2. She needs a completely independent, fiercely competent local criminal defense attorney.
Someone with no national agenda, no election-fraud circus, no incentive to burn down the courtroom.
3. Her new attorney must file a new appeal based on the only viable argument:
That Tina Peters was manipulated and set up by individuals she believed were legal authorities and advisors, and her prior legal counsel was acting against her interests.
This argument:
Has factual support.
Explains her actions.
Shows lack of criminal intent.
Does not require impossible jurisdictional claims.
Allows the court to remedy an injustice without rewriting federalism.
and, best of all:
Exposes the Flynn network operatives for who they are to the nation.
A competent attorney could present this as a classic case of a vulnerable local official being influenced by political actors with ulterior motives—something appellate courts can remedy.
This is her only chance short of illegal force.
4. President Trump should—if he truly wants to help her—personally urge her to replace her entire legal team.
He doesn’t need to send Marshals.
He doesn’t need paratroopers.
He doesn’t need to seek negotiating leverage against a Democrat governor.
He needs to send wisdom and friendship.
If he visits her or even sends a message encouraging her to get real counsel, that alone could save her life.
THE STAKES
If nothing changes, here is what happens:
Her appeal fails.
She could die in prison.
Flynn network operatives use her as a rallying cry to provoke violence.
The left uses that violence to crush civil liberties.
And the same people who orchestrated this will walk away untouched.
Tina deserves better. We all do.
CONCLUSION: Truth, Not Martyrdom, Will Set Her Free
You can believe Tina Peters meant well.
You can believe she loves her country.
You can believe she was trying to do the right thing.
All of that can be true while also acknowledging that she was manipulated, badly advised, and walked into criminal conduct by people who had their own agendas.
We cannot save Tina Peters by repeating lies.
The only way to save her—the only lawful, peaceful way—is for her to get an honest lawyer, admit she was misled, put Patrick Byrne and Kurt Olsen on the stand as hostile witnesses, and appeal on that basis alone.
Anything else leads to ruin.
