I thoroughly enjoyed today’s conversation with Arizona State Representative Quang Nguyen, from my old stomping grounds of Yavapai County.
Quang’s story of fleeing communism and doing his best to serve and protect his constituents is inspiring.
We discussed some of the attacks he has experienced from within his own party, even in the run up to the general election, and we discussed a critical issue for many red states across the country - the effort to switch to jungle primaries and ranked choice voting.
We discussed what this means for voters in Arizona and beyond, how ranked choice voting can be used to prevent Republicans from ever appearing on a general election ballot, even in a red state, and what must be done to defeat it.
